MIXING PROCESS
Upload & Send
Upload your DAW session or consolidated Audio Stems using a large file transfer service like WeTransfer, HighTail, DropBox, etc.. Please zip all files into a single archive and include a rough mix mp3 or wave printed from the current version of the song you want mixed.
Your Song is Mixed
I will download, prepare them and mix using my analog SSL mixing console along with all the best plugins. Turnaround time varies, but is typically 5 to 15 days.
Your Mix is Delivered
I mix every song until I feel like I have a completely finished, radio ready mix. Then I upload a high quality copy of my mix to you to review
Listen
Listen to my mix on several sets of speakers. Take as long as you need to evaluate. Make detailed notes of any changes you want me to make to my mix. Include track names and timings with your notes. Be detailed!
Provide Feedback
Send me your revisions requests. Zero to three rounds of revisions is common, however, I INCLUDE ALL MIX REVISIONS IN MY FLAT RATE UNTIL YOU APPROVE A FINAL MIX! Whatever it takes until you are 100% happy.
Approve the Mix
Once you approve a final mix, I will print final mix passes including Main, TV (mix minus LV), Instrumental, and Acapella.
Mixing process
• Send all the work you’ve done, and commit any final production choices (tuning, blends, effects, etc.)
• Files should be recorded at 24bit or 32bit and at least 48kHz. Please send the full-resolution files.
• Give the mixer the files needed to mix the song - no more than needed and certainly no fewer!
• Make sure everything is clearly labeled and logically organized.
• Finish “production” before you send files to mix. It is extremely time consuming and counterproductive to make significant changes such as re-recording instruments, adding/replacing parts, or editing.
Delivery: Files are required to be delivered a minimum of 3 business days prior to your scheduled mix date to avoid moving mix dates and potentially delaying deadlines. Feel free to use the file transfer service of your choice. Regardless of your delivery method, please let me know that you have sent the files so I know to expect them.

After It’s Mixed: Once the mixes have been approved, you will be provided with 32-bit WAV files of the Master Mix, TV Track (mix minus lead), Instrumental Track, and the consolidated multitrack. Performance stems are available upon request for an additional fee. When you receive your mix delivery, back it up! You are the content owner and have the sole responsibility of archiving your content.
